The purchase and sale of real estate can be a challenging and stressful process. The realtor one chooses is critical to the success of this endeavor. During this summer, I had the pleasure of working with Jon Burbank, of Coldwell Banker Old Mill, in Bristol, New Hampshire. Jon helped with the purchase of a new full-time residence. Given that this was lakefront property, the negotiation was difficult and tense at times. My wife and I recently worked with on on the sale of our condo at The Ledges at Newfound Lake. We thought Jon was great to work with.

From the time we started interviewing potential agents, Jon stood out by demonstrating his preparation and personal attention to detail. He presented a detailed analysis of the market, and a detailed marketing plan for the property. After engaging Jon, he showed continued enthusiasm for selling our condo. He gave us valuable counsel on setting the price and when to have open houses. His personal service included meeting with workers that had to do repair work on the condo, and returning the cable television equipment to the cable company. Given that we are absentee owners, having Jon on the ground was a great benefit.

After 3 months on the market, in a very difficult financial and real estate market, we received an offer that was acceptable. Jon managed the closing process and made it seamless; we did not even have to attend the closing, it was all done by email, mail and wire transfers.

This past summer Jon Burbank worked with me on buying a condominium on Tenney Mountain, in Plymouth, New Hampshire. It was my first time buying a condo and Jon was vital to the sale going through.

In this market, it is very difficult for any property sale to go through without any kind of hitch. With Jon's help I was able to overcome every obstacle thrown at me by the bank, the buyer, and other parties invovled in the sale. I knew that I could count on Jon to help get everyone on board and bring all of the parties together to make the sale happen. On more than one occasion he was able to get things moving faster, and able to make things go much smoother.

Jon was able to help me negotiate a great deal for the condo I ended up purchasing, and helped make the eventual closing a smooth and very painless experience. Without his help, I doubt I would have been able to get the property I am living in now.
